The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship [AOTS] was founded in 1959 with an approval of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently known as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; METI) as Japan’s first organization to promote technical cooperation in the private sector. Since then, AOTS has been implementing training projects to support the development of human resources necessary for the industrial development of the developing countries.
The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) and Japan Overseas Development Corporation (JODC) have joined hands on this occasion and taken a new step forward as The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA).
Through this merger, the two organizations have further expanded the human networks that they have built up thus far within and outside Japan, and combined their knowhow on structuring training programs and experts dispatch programs. Through these efforts, I believe we have established a system that can provide comprehensive support for domestic and overseas industries, as well as for the development of human resources.
CAMFFA has cooperated with AOTS to arrange the program outline and participation requirements.
